Donation Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Dream Girl Foundation, we deeply appreciate every contribution made towards empowering underprivileged children. We strive to process all donations strictly as per the instructions provided by our donors. However, in the event of an erroneous transaction, duplicate payment, or unauthorized charge, we maintain a clear and transparent cancellation and refund mechanism.

1. Requesting a Refund

If you have made an erroneous donation or wish to request a refund, please notify us in writing within 2 calendar days of the transaction date.

To process your request efficiently, your written request must include:

  • Full name and contact details of the donor.
  • Date and exact amount of the donation.
  • Payment mode (Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, Cheque, etc.).
  • Transaction ID / Payment Gateway Order ID.
  • Proof of payment / Payment receipt copy.
  • Clear reason for requesting the refund.

2. Unauthorized or Fraudulent Transactions

If you suspect that your debit/credit card, bank account, or payment credentials were used fraudulently to make a donation without your authorization, please contact us immediately within 7 days of the transaction, alongside reporting the incident to your issuing bank.

3. Processing & Timelines

  • Verification: Upon receipt of a valid refund request, our finance team will review the claim within 7 working days.
  • Settlement: Approved refunds will be processed within 15 to 30 working days from the approval date. The exact timeline for the refunded amount to reflect in your account depends on your payment instrument and issuing bank/gateway rules.
  • Payment Deductions: Any transaction processing fees charged by payment gateways, banks, or third-party processing intermediaries may be deducted from the final refunded amount, where applicable.

4. Special Conditions

  • Tax Exemption Certificates (80G): If a tax exemption certificate under Section 80G has already been issued to the donor prior to the refund request, a refund cannot be issued as per regulatory requirements.
  • In-Kind Donations: Non-monetary or in-kind donations are non-refundable once handed over to or accepted by the Foundation.

5. Management Discretion

Decisions regarding refund approvals are made after reviewing transaction logs and compliance standards. The decision of the Board of Trustees regarding the approval or rejection of a refund request shall be final and binding.
