Dream Girl Foundation, established in 2003 is one of the eminent non-profit organisations based in Gurgaon, Haryana. We work together to provide education, healthcare and support to the under-privileged girl children. DGF is determined to eradicate illiteracy and ill health in the country. A lot of under-privileged families are unable to provide education to their children due to the financial strain.
We as a team include teachers, medical practitioners and other volunteers who stand together not only as a financial support but also stand as a moral support to the families. Children are the future of our country and providing anything to help them, is equal to securing our future as well as theirs. Education given to the children here enables them to know, ‘How to think and not what to think’. DGF also provides with self-defence workshops exclusively for the girl children who are taught to tackle any unexpected situations. Women are strong but they are taught here to face anybody who thinks they are weak because in today’s world it has turned out to be really important. They make the world beautiful and so deserve a respectful life. The pain and trouble caused by various health issues are temporary and so DGF supports them to start a new life. Till now over 45+ children have been completely cured of their sicknesses and they have started a new chapter in their lives.
The Non-formal Education centres (NFEs) which are also known as acting like schools have been setup in various cities. The underprivileged and needy children are taught by teachers and are provided with a school-like environment. The first NFE centre was established at Surya Vihar, Gurgaon in the year 2013. Later many NFE centres at Mumbai (2015), Noida (2016), Tigra village (2017) and Kalyan and Chennai (2018) have been setup and have been working towards the DGF goals. ‘The more Happiness you spread the more the Happiness you get’, DGF also welcomes donations and several other schemes for the corporates who can complete their CSR responsibilities by lending a financial hand. This responsibility also encourages the corporates to show a kind heart as well as get some mandatory duties done.
Over the years, Dream Girl Foundation has celebrated and conducted many campaigns for the children. The important days like Republic day, Diwali, Children’s day, Sport’s day, Christmas are celebrated with the volunteers and the people who come to visit the children and share their joy. DGF believes that it is a blessing to share and enjoy the happiness of pure- hearted children. A Daan Utsav week i.e. ‘The Joy of giving week’ is observed from 2nd October and people are open to give anything for the wellness of DGF children. The tag line ‘Ab ki baar, Daan Karo yar!’ is used to remind the people that anything offered by them is a gift to the innocent children. PROJECT ZINDAGI is one of the first milestones of DGF which began in the year 2014 and has saved many lives. Life is priceless as it never comes with a price tag.
Though is one of the fastest growing developing countries in the world, Poverty still lingers in various parts of our country. It is something that makes the poor lives fall prey to all sorts of diseases and puts every soul in the family into distress. To give them a chance to look through a different angle is what the project works for. The project aims at giving a new life and instilling hope in those who have completely lost their purpose for life.
