Veer’s journey to a full recovery

For many cancer patients and their families, the experience of such a deleterious and scary journey is one of immense distress and strain. From the shock of being told about the diagnosis, facing the challenges of going through treatment and to then adjusting to life after treatment ends, your emotions can catch you by surprise and may sometimes feel overwhelming. This is a story of a young boy, who against all odds successfully fought blood cancer.

Dream Girl Foundation, along with genuine donors, helped a young boy fully recover. Veer suffered from Blood cancer scientifically called B Cell Lymphocytes, a deadly disease in which the infected cells continuously spread throughout the body. His sufferance of fever commenced in October 2019 after which he had been diagnosed with blood cancer. He was admitted at Sir Gangaram Hospital, Delhi. Urgent chemotherapy was required which was the only way to help Veer for which 10-12 lakhs were needed.

Veer’s parents could not afford the treatment as his mother was a housewife and his father a raging alcoholic, who earned no more than 20,000 rupees a month as a worker in the Delhi Jal Board. Veer’s family was under an incessant amount of duress as they were not able to cater to his treatment. However, Dream Girl Foundation helped raise over 2 lakhs along with the generous help provided by donors. Fortunately, all six chemotherapy courses are now completed, and Veer is on his path of a healthy recovery.

Dream Girl Foundation managed to save yet another life along with its donors. We aretruly grateful to all those who helped us put a smile back on Veer’s face. Veer has nowmade a full recovery and now only requires regular checkups and treatment which will be complete in 3 months. Post that, Veer will successfully be able to lead a normal and happy life with his family, made possible by the support of thoughtful, considerate and altruistic donors and our foundation.
